Cameron is a movement-based expressive arts therapist and somatic ecologist who explores the connection between the body and the natural world as a source of healing, creativity, and belonging. A Tamalpa Life/Art Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience, she leads retreats, supports trauma recovery, and teaches somatic expressive arts in Asheville, NC and Uvita, Costa Rica.

ISMETA Registered Somatic Movement Therapist & Educator

Kate is a somatic movement and expressive arts educator and coach who explores the wisdom of the moving body as a source of awareness, creativity, and authentic expression. A Registered Somatic Movement Educator with BA and MFA degrees in dance, she leads retreats, teaches embodied mindfulness, and guides nature-based experiences that deepen connection to self and the living world.

Kate & Cameron met in 2009 at Sea Ranch, Ca.

They met during a place-based expressive arts retreat led by Soto Hoffman while studying at the Tamalpa Institute with Daria and Anna Halprin. They have actively imagined working together ever since, and are excited to offer this eco-somatic movement retreat in Costa Rica 18 years later. Kate and Cameron are both ISMETA Registered Somatic Movement Therapists and Educators and Tamalpa Life/Art Practitioners.

Group shuttle from San Jose (SJO) to El Nido Uvita on January 24, and return shuttle on January 30. 6 nights accommodation. 5 days chef-prepared local seasonal meals and snacks. 6 days eco-somatic expressive arts programming co-facilitated by Kate and Cameron. Art materials. Pool, cold plunge, lush gardens, covered lounge, movement studio, fire pit. Private beach access walk. Waterfall excursion. Ocean-side Sand Mandala Meditation.
